Love Notes from our Retreats
The retreat hosted by Casey brought together all elements for success. Casey’s facilitation created an open and playful climate allowing the group to bond with each other and for individual exploration. Every detail was considered: the comfortable and beautiful space that incorporated the outdoors, amazing healthy food, added components like Reiki, Shinrin-Yoku, oracle cards, purposeful and calming music, scent, and thought provoking questions for journaling. Casey is a seasoned Yoga teacher who has a clear gift of reading the room and leading from a place of presence and clarity while also challenging each person in their own practice and at their own level. From the opening ceremony to the final bonfire moment, it became obvious the retreat was special and provided true respite for everyone involved! ~ Kerry N.
I am so delighted I attended the retreat. Loved the yoga, the great ladies, the location—everything was just perfect! Casey did a wonderful job of leading us—this is her calling! ~ Kristen B.
Casey’s yoga retreat at Wild Rice Retreat was truly magical. The setting on Lake Superior, with its powerful energy and natural beauty, created the perfect backdrop for connection and renewal. Casey is an incredible teacher who intuitively tuned into the needs of each participant. The retreat struck just the right balance between shared experiences and personal time to explore, reflect, and recharge. One of the highlights was the community that formed among the group. Getting to know everyone—their warmth, vibrancy, and unique personalities—made the experience even more meaningful. From the very beginning, Casey set a safe and supportive tone that encouraged openness and vulnerability. Because of that, every participant was able to connect deeply—not only with the practice, but with themselves and each other. It was a beautiful, grounding, and unforgettable experience! ~ Michelle L.
Being a part of the Yoga Tree community is such a gift. As a busy mom of 3, whenever I get the chance to pour into my well being, participating in the variety of classes at Yoga Tree has been ever rejuvenating for my mind, body, and soul. I took part in the retreat this past summer (August 2025) and cannot say enough amazing things from the weekend. From the daily salutations, meditations, and yoga classes to the free time to explore the wonderful location and incredible food; I walked away from the weekend with a clarifying perspective and a deepened connection to myself. I'm very grateful for Casey and all her work and the gifts she shares with our community through the Yoga Tree. ~ LIndsay J.
I returned home from the retreat and it felt like my life went into overdrive and I honestly can say the retreat helped me stay grounded, be present, and move through it all- the good and negative emotions. A core feeling I want to consistently feel is peace- even in the midst of chaos, I want peace to guide me and throughout the retreat, I was able gain tools to do that. Whether that be from the energy flowing, the laughter, or the rawness of expression. I am getting emotional just thinking about the retreat now! It wasn’t just an amazing group of women lead by an amazing woman, in an amazing location- there was this energy that lead us to the exact spot we needed to be in! I loved the place- accommodations and food however I did feel there wasn’t enough protein served. If we can give some recommendations to the place, it would be to serve all those yummy veggies but add a bit more protein. I can’t give five stars, I have to give 10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~ Diana D.
